Der aufgeladene 1.8 T quattro (1996–2003) im Audi A3 (8L1) leistet 110 kW (150 PS) und spritzt in den Saugkanal ein. Der serienmäßige Ladeluftkühler ist auf diesen Wert ausgelegt, nicht auf mehr: Bei Softwareoptimierung oder Dauerlast wird die Ladeluft heiß, und die Klopfreserve schrumpft.
Empfohlene Konfiguration für den 1.8 T quattro (110 kW): Passend sind hier mehrere Ausbaustufen — entscheidend ist, wie weit der Motor bereits optimiert ist. Stage 1 ist der Einstieg für den serienbelassenen Wagen. Stage 2.5 Power-Max regelt variabel und ladedruckgeführt — die übliche Wahl bei moderater Mehrleistung und Dauerlast. Stage 3 EFI bietet die feinste Abstimmung, sobald Ladedruck oder Software angefasst wurden.
Effekt in Zahlen: −40 bis −60 °C Ladeluft- beziehungsweise Ansaugtemperatur unter Last, deutlich mehr Klopfreserve, spürbar weniger Zündwinkelrücknahme im oberen Drehzahlbereich — und konstantere Leistung bei hohen Außentemperaturen.

Standard Boost Cooler kits ship with red pressure hoses and push-on fittings. The ProLine variant uses stainless steel braided lines and AN fittings - motorsport-grade pressure resistance, higher heat tolerance.
